Why It’s Important To Master Your Morning
I have been reading quite a few articles on the importance of mastering your morning. Never would I think that I would write an article about it too. It didn’t occur to me that in order to succeed in my current ventures, I’d need to spend the time to map out every little detail of my day in the mornings.
If you’re someone like me, with tons of side hustles that you run, then you certainly need to master your mornings in order to conquer the other demands of your daily life.
I mean, I still have a 9-5, I’m a wife, and I have several engagements that I partake in. So how do I find time to take care of my side gigs? I’ve realized that in order to run them efficiently, I need to have a concrete plan on how to manage my mornings and thereby my entire day.
And believe you me, the mornings are the best time to accomplish many things that you want to do. For instance, with my new blog site, I need to plan all my social media posts –if not for a week, at least for the day. I also enjoy reading, so my day would be incomplete if I didn’t read the latest news or articles on my favorite sites before walking out the door. I also meditate on the word of God. And if I don’t meditate in the morning before I head to work, I feel as if I’m missing something. The meditation comes after the ever-so-important acts of praying and reading my Bible. Praying is a must for me in the morning. I have to pray and read a passage before I even get out of bed. It’s a must for me every morning. I need divine guidance to function –period.
So don’t you think you have to start mastering your morning? Well if you don’t, I do!
Mastering your morning is all about planning all the things that you need to do before you head out of work or to other related things. It will enable you to be more efficient and productive in your side hustles, and become a better planner of your daily activities.
You don’t need a magic wand though in order to plan your mornings. You should just start with a quick and simple plan for all that you want to accomplish in the mornings. As you go along, you will become better at mastering your mornings -which will benefit you in the long run.
Everything that follows in your day is a product of how you plan your mornings. If you wake up feeling like crap, then you most likely going to have a crappy day, unless you attack those downcast feelings before stepping foot outside your door. If you wake up feeling energetic, harness that energy and maximize your planning, and I guarantee that your day will be well-spent while making lively moves.
So what do you say? Should we start working on a draft for tomorrow morning? Grab a pen and let’s master and better our mornings!
