Stop Worrying And Start Living!

I wish I could tell my mother and so many others to stop worrying and start living. Being worried really can get you sick. According to an article published in Psychology Today, “Worry is a natural part of the human condition. It has historically played a vital role in our survival and it helps us cope with many of the challenges we face today.” At the same time, the worry is a sign of depression and shortens our time of happiness —which could also lead to indescribable physical illnesses.

I am not saying that I will never be worried. But I don’t let it linger in me for days and days. Besides, I have a God who says “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). “I will be with you until the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20). I can go on and one with reassuring statements quoted directly from the Bible, but it won’t make any sense if I’m constantly worrying myself as well. So yes, I have days of discouragements, but mercifully I always pick myself right back up.

Many of us know the effect of being worried all the time. But yet, we are regularly thinking of tomorrow and distressing about the future.

Yes, it is said that we should prepare for our future. We should set goals. And I am a strong believer that we should always seek ways to better our future. Nonetheless, I am not an advocate that we should linger on worries just because of the future’s uncertainties.

Your health matters to you a lot. It matters more than you can even imagine. Then perhaps you should start protecting it. And one way to do so is by completely stop stressing yourself out with fears and doubts.

Life is not always bright and shiny. Think about it, there are days of heavy rain and total darkness outside and you just feel “blahhh“. And on the other hand, there are days when it looks super nice, bright, and beautiful outside. You just want to go for a walk or just enjoy some outdoor doings. See the difference?

So what do you say we stop being anxious and continue to work on building for a better future —though we don’t know what lies ahead.

I’m all about a better you —physically and mentally— and it starts today!
