This month I’m Reading “Successful Women Speak differently: 9 Habits That Build Confidence, Courage, and Influence” by Valorie Burton

This is not intended to be a review of the book.

As I browse on my Scribd app for the next book, I stumbled upon “Successful Women Speak differently: 9 Habits That Build Confidence, Courage, and Influence” by Valorie Burton. Little that I know that there was a variation between the way you speak and the way you articulate, particularly during interviews.

I don’t know if you do that, but I speak to myself sometimes… OK, maybe a lot. But I do that for a purpose. I speak to myself when I have to do a presentation, yes that helps! Or when I have interviews. It’s like rehearsing.

Thus, I thought this was only helpful for articulation and memorization so you don’t mumble through every word and sentence. OK, I was kinda wrong. That’s not all behind speaking differently for success.

Don’t get me wrong here. I have studied and believed in the power of words. This entails believing in what you say, speak to your existence, and declare your fulfillment out loud. Now I know that I didn’t really the meaning behind proper articulation.

As I am half way through reading the book, I am very pleased with what I’ve learned thus far and super excited to learn more skills that I didn’t possess before.

I certainly want to improve my speaking skills –in all aspects. I am longing for improvement people. And you should be too!

The book is not only about speaking skills. There are wholesome ideas and new methods for daily self-improvement. And I certainly want to continue on that journey.

If you’re a woman like me, in your mid-or-late twenties, this is super early for you to do. Your best years are still ahead of you. You have the potential to do and be so much more. Don’t just believe in words -like I used to.

You need to start conveying your ideas efficiently and in a more superior level. Check your tone. Your facial expressions. Your tune. Better yet, grab a book and learn how to implement your speaking habits and skills because successful women speak differently.
