Do These 4 Things And Time Won’t Leave You Behind

Don't Let Time Leave You Behind

Ephesians 5:15-16 “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil.” If you have not yet realized that the days are evil, then you’re in a dark. Time doesn’t stop for anyone. It seems like yesterday it was Christmas, and now we’re in the first week of a new year. Things are getting harder. And time just keeps moving. If you have something to get done, then the time is now. Put in your mind that there’s no better time than now. How can you start working on your goals today?

Few things to know before you pick up the load and get going.

  1. Set your mind. I am one of those people who always have 100 things on my list. It wasn’t until recently that I’ve learned to work on one thing and perfect it before I move to the next one. I am bringing the same message to you. Do not work on all your projects at once. I’m so serious. You will get confused, overwhelmed, and you probably won’t achieve anything as your mind will be too clouded to think of a thousand things simultaneously. Yea yea I know you’re a multi-tasker, but certainly not when you want to reach greatness. Ok, let’s move on.
  2. Sit down and write. I didn’t always like writing. When I first started college in the U.S. I just couldn’t stand those essays. I had no idea that would benefit me today. But what I’ve gained, from working on those essays, has improved my ability in writing all my brainstormed ideas in a piece of paper in order to plan adequately. If you could learn to write your ideas down, so you can see them, it would help you craft your project in a more achievable way. Seeing things will allow you to assimilate imaginations that would work and what wouldn’t. Now get a pen and start writing.
  3. Ask questions and find answers. C’mon now. None of us knows it all. There are roadblocks in all projects. Nothing is easy. While you won’t sit behind closed doors to wait for someone to pop up and answer your questions, you have to seek for those answers. Whether it’s through the Internet (our modern day research method) or speak with an expert, do go out there and find the answers to all that you need to know to get started on your dreams.
  4. Get started. Now you have your mindset, you have your ideas down, along with some questions that you need answers for, I am sure now you’re ready to get started. And of course, get started means get things done. Use whatever means within your reach, seek out for missing parts, and put all the pieces together and start making moves.

That’s it, you are well on your way to achieving what you’ve always wanted to achieve. Whether it’s going back to college, taking a class, building a side business, or starting a professional group, whatever it is that you want to do you can certainly get it done. And you won’t feel guilty that you’ve wasted your time when you realize it’s another day, week, month, or year.

You see, you are on your way to be better, act better, and do better. And that’s how it should be.
