You’ve Got A Problem? That’s Good! Fix It

Often times when we find ourselves encountering all types of challenges and difficulties, but the problem is, we confront them with a negative mental attitude. Reading Success with a Positive Mental Attitude gave me a greater perspective on how to attack my problems.

When challenges strike, it is not sufficient to simply think about the hardships or analyze the issue without thoughtful and tactical solutions. Just staring at the problem or crying about it won’t make it go away. Concrete plans and actions can transform the problem into an advantage or life-learned lesson.

So what can you do about your current and future challenges?

Analyze the problem. If you can thoroughly investigate the problem, you can figure out what causes it, what can be done about it, and most importantly a solution to fix the problem. As my husband would say, every problem has a solution. Though not in terms of a mathematical solution (as in the way my mathematician husband thinks), life’s problems do require deeper digging in order to understand the issue in a systematic (and resolvable) way.

Pray about the problem. We have a good God. Oh Yes we do! Unlike some others who think they can do it all by themselves, a good moment spent in friendly conversation with The Man Above can help see things in very different lenses and open your mind to distinctive approaches to your problems. With faith in the God who speaks and moves and acts out of love for us, you’ll be given the insight needed to analyze the problem in all its aspects. You’ll know what to do about it and how to solve it. When you don’t put your full trust in the God who is Omniscient (all-knowing), you will be drained by the fear of the unknown. Prayers with faith bring assurance —which produce peace and clarity in moments of desperations.

Turn your thoughts into action-based activities. If you expect to solve an issue, you can’t just sit around thinking about it. Once you come up with ideas on how to turn the problem around, with God’s divine support, move forward with actions. Apply the principles into activities to solve the problem. While people are thinking that you’re swimming into a pool of heartaches and trials leading you to float downstream, what you’ll really be doing is working on the problem and moving upstream.

You can be different by the way you act. You can certainly do better than you thought you could. And you could completely be better in how you meet daily challenges. So let’s march on to a better you.

Cheers to a better you!
