What I’m Reading This Month: Write It Down, Make It Happen
I’m trying to outperformed Bill Gates this year and read more than 50 books. Not sure how that’s possible, but I believe that I can do anything I set out to accomplish, and so can you!
I’m not saying you need to read 50 or more books as well; however, reading does help you in many areas. Which include increasing your vocabulary, becoming self-aware of new practices, discovering new self-improvement habits, and garnering centered knowledge that they don’t lecture in schools.
This month I am reading “Write it down, Make it happen: Knowing What You Want and Getting it” by Henriette A. Klauser. She is an amazing writer. I have previously read this book; hence, I didn’t quite get it and also did not make any annotations. So I stumbled into the book again on my suggested reading list on Scribd and say to myself why not do a re-read of this book.
Write it down, Make it happen is a self-help book. It has tons of stories of people who are focusing on writing their goals, dreams, and to-do-lists. In due course, what they write becomes a reality. I have personally started doing that, and it has been working thus far. I have to admit before I started my blog, I tested a lot of self-improvement habits, learned many new principles, and immersed myself in self-help education that would assist in my personal growth.
Personal growth is a quintessential factor to advancement, particularly in today’s work environment. Companies are not only looking for people with extensive degrees and certificates. They also want to know you can engage with others –what we now call the soft skills. And believe you me, those soft skills are not imparted through academia. Thus, you must absorb self-learning notions in order to know how to interact with others.
I am reading this book to understand more the power of writing and to certainly practice this new principle more than I used to. I hope you can join me on this journey of reading as many books as you are capable to on a monthly basis. “Write it down, and Make it happen”.
