Meet Collinx Mondesir, Co-founder & CEO of COLLABO Branding Agency

Whether you are starting a new business or want to overhaul your current venture’s branding scheme, a good product launch must have a solid branding strategy to reach the right target. Collinx Mondesir and his wife, Caroline Mondesir, created COLLABO  Branding Agency three years ago to help build brands that influence people’s lives positively and transform communities for a brighter future.

Collinx Mondesir was born in the Northeast side of Haiti; he grew up in Commune Trou-du-Nord, went to school in Cap-Haitien, and then relocated to Port-au-Prince. He obtained a bachelor’s in Psychology and amassed more than 13 years of experience in Graphic Design, specifically branding UX and UI. Collinx has gained a reputation in town due to his work with various noteworthy organizations at national and international levels. A father of one and husband, Collinx has also been passionate about music and poetry, which serve as his pass-time activities.

Collinx co-founded COLLABO Branding Agency to support for-profit and not-for-profit initiatives that aim to improve communities and people’s well-being. Collinx credited his entourage and network for embracing COLLABO from the start because he had built a reputation with his network through other work he had completed when he was a solopreneur.

“COLLABO is not just a for-profit business,” stated Collinx. “The goal is more significant than that. We work with small businesses venturing into underprivileged areas so they can reach their targeted markets in addition to helping them gain proper visibility for sponsorship and funding.”

Small businesses receive branding services from COLLABO, especially when their solutions are innovative and they can find their ideal client due to their social facets. Many social organizations reach out to the branding agency to help them figure out how to sell their distinct offerings. “They need help creating and building their products, finding their ideal clients, fully executing their business plans, and marketing their offerings to the right audience,” indicated Collinx. “At COLLABO, we are ready to assist ventures desiring to change people’s lives. We help them develop entrepreneurial ideas to transform people’s lives and communities, not because those ventures have the most money, but because we believe in their mission.”

The co-founder’s vision goes beyond branding for the company. Collinx and his partners have also launched Collabo for Designers, a community built to showcase Haitian graphic designers’ work. The community has more than 200 graphic designers who have signed up thus far with the hope of exposing their artistic and creative pieces to the international community.

Collinx’s experience as a psychologist has helped him develop the vision for COLLABO Branding Agency due to his experiences working with people to help them improve their well-being. “I have studied psychology, which has exposed me to people’s various elements and needs. Everyone has distinct and ordinary needs. Various needs include shelter, food, and entertainment. Therefore, we fulfill our mission every time we work with a business that supports the needs of humanity,” stated Collinx.

Collinx also has multiple other initiatives he develops and launches every year, with the most recent one, “M-Talk,” a podcast in which professionals and experts from different backgrounds discuss relevant topics concentrating on important topics like mental health.

Collinx credits the use of SOPs (standard operating procedures) that he has developed for himself and his teams so he can have more time to work on the things he is passionate about, including music, poetry, and people’s well-being. Besides, Collinx’s wife serves as his primary support system, helping him carefully troubleshoot life-changing ideas and design a plan to tackle them as they run through his mind.

Collinx embraces networking as one of his main activities to grow his business and acknowledges backing from family and friends like Rock Andre to build a brand focusing on people.

Collinx invites all Haitians to unite to alleviate people’s lives, rebuild Haiti and build a more promising future. “Each of us is responsible for creating a better world and ameliorating people’s lives. It does not matter that we’re doing the same thing but working together to make sustainable change.” The young entrepreneur also calls on everyone to become a positive change agent in their respective communities. “Well-being is not a dream, but everyone can live healthier and better lives today.”
